And it continues

I'm almost 100% sure I witnessed a man urinate into the trashcan on the platform. I was in the train and didn't see him till the end, but I looked up randomly. The way the man was standing puzzled me as it was a rather strange stance for someone just standing on the platform. He then pulled up his pants and adjusted himself, so I'm fairly sure he was urinating and not doing something else. Ironically he got off at the next stop, so his need must have been really desperate.

And today I was startled by someone who was sitting by the window stand up and leave the seat without so much as a word or glance to me. I had my headphones on, but when someone stands up for me to exit the seat (or even if they just move their legs), I make sure to thank them. Most passengers acknowledge when someone else lets them aside so I find this behavior annoying and startling.

I saw a young hispanic couple

I saw a young hispanic couple engaging in sex acts in a BART station in Berkeley last month.

Of course there are No Cameras at the ends of the platform, so people can do whatever they want there and nobody would no.

BART stations are NOT SAFE.

One night transferring at

One night transferring at 12th street, middle of the platform there was a homeless looking fellow looking at the brick...thinking he was just a simple harmless drunk I proceeded to wait for the next train, I then hear the rain start...not rain...pee. Dis-freaking-gusting!

16th Street and 24th Street

16th Street and 24th Street platforms always have pee puddles at either end. See dull tile? Imagine uric acid! Never, ever sit or set down any personal items on 16th or 24th Street platforms. Please start busting them, fining them and posting their photo in stations! That ought to help...

Never, ever save 50 cents and dig your paper out of any of the BART paper recycling bins...Once you've seen those disgusting loons hawk into them, you'll either buy one or skip it for the day.

There is a flickr site for bartrage...why not start a "pissed" section and all of us contribute. Every time wee add we should also forward the photo to boardofdirectors@bart.gov honorjk@comcast.net bobfranklinbart@aol.com

urinating in trash cans is a

urinating in trash cans is a pretty common sight on BART. In fact, Oaklanders/Bay Area folks are doing what they can to spread the practice. I was at the Cowboys vs. Raiders Thanksgiving game in Dallas and all the Raiders fans were complaining that the trashcans were too high to pee in. God forbid any of them have to wait in line for a bathroom and hold it like a normal adult.

'the trashcans were too high

'the trashcans were too high to pee in'

there's a way to solve the problem.

built for 2010 dallas(brand new stadium and site of this years super bowl)

leaving out the braindead,

leaving out the braindead, BART would solve much of this by facing reality and reopening bathrooms in more stations. It really is annoying having to go several stations out of the way just to find an open "conenience".

I agree. it is stupid to keep

I agree. it is stupid to keep them closed. If a terrorist wanted to mess up BART, why use a bathroom?!? it would be much easier to load up a big suitcase full of explosives and then suicide bomb the transbay tube during rush hour. Nobody would suspect anything since so many assholes with giant suitcases use BART to get to San Francisco airport.

I suspect it was just a

I suspect it was just a convenient excuse to shut down the bathrooms so bumbs didn't trash them. Anyway, BART bathrooms are grimy at best, even the new ones along the SFO extension from what I've read are some of the worst.

I feel a little better

I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one who unfortunately sees this. I feel worse knowing that this wasn't a one-time thing.

Reminder to self, never go to the ends of the Oakland stations and avoid getting off at Coliseum if possible!
