Smoky train evacuation at Lake Merritt

I boarded the train at LM this morning at 11:30, which was evacuated due to smoke - it caused some major system delays. First we were moved to the concourse and then to the street a few minutes later. By the time the fifth fire truck arrived, I went home and drove to work. So, can anyone tell me what was, so to speak, smokin'?
