Question: eligibility pool

Hi there! This is my first post on Bart Rage. I have a basic question. If I did not make it into the initial hiring but made it into the pool, what are my chances of being called in the next 12 months? If they do pick from the pool, is it based on score ranking order? Thanks in advance.

Pretty much it's a waiting

Pretty much it's a waiting game. When I applied it took them 18 months to invite me to the testing

i know it is really hard to

i know it is really hard to be hired but i'm not loosing my hope somehow someday my dreams come true to be part of this team

It depends on the position

It depends on the position and your number in the pool. If its for Station Agent, each class has about 12 people. So if your number is 1-12 you're in the first class, if you're number 13-24 your in the second class. If your number is higher, you may be out of luck because the list expires. Each class last about 11 weeks for Station Agents and 13 weeks for Train Operators. It totally dependson youe ranking number.

Are we talking about the TO

Are we talking about the TO job that was just open? How do you know whether you did or didn't make it into the hiring process?

It was not for a TO position.

It was not for a TO position. I made it past all the stages, supplemental questions, written exam, performance exam, and in person interview. I did not make it into the small group for the immediate hiring, but in the pool. I hope I get called soon, I'm on the very top end of the list, but HR doesn't seem to have any indiction whether they will hire in the next 12 months. They pretty much told me that anything can happen. I would hate to expire and have to go though the entire process again.
