BART TRAIN OPERATOR WRITTEM TEST
Hey guys I have been invited to take the part time train operator exam this Saturday july 21, 2012. Bart sais that the train operator exam will test applicants knowledge in the following areas,
1. Problem Solving
2. Read Comprehension
3. Customer Relations
and that applicants pass with 75 percent or better.
Questions
1.Does anybody know how many questions are on the test ?
2.Does anybody know what type of questions are on the test ?
3.Is there a study guide ?
Please Please help, I really want to pass this test.

Don't worry so much. The test is simple questions about basic mechanics and common sense. You will pass if you can tell right from left.. that kinda stuff. Concentrate more on the phase after the test(personal interview). Answer the questions they ask without rambling on and on and you'll do fine. Good luck!
Passing the test is not the
Passing the test is not the point, everybody passes the test unless they're stupid. You are not competing against a test, you're competing against everybody else that is taking the test so you just have to make sure that you are better than everyone else. Or at least a large percentage of them.

Thank You so much, I took the bart train operator written test, Today July 20, 2012. The first part of test was difficult, The rest of the test was pretty easy and I think I did pretty good. However i am so nevous because I really want to become a train operator and plus I need a job and even though this is part time it will work. Please pray for me.

What do you mean, I competing against everybody for the bart train operator exam
They take the top X amount of
They take the top X amount of people.. Never know how many they need.. So you're wanting to do better than everyone else.. A "score" doesn't really make a difference if everyone does well (or poorly)

Thanks for your feedback, like I have stated in previous post - Since I have a documented disibility( well at least on paper I do) I was given double time on the exam. I should have the results back in about 2 weeks acoording to BART HR. I really wana wana become a TO as it is my dream. I just hope I past this exam. I think I did fairly well but only god knows...wow they take the top X amount of people...from what I belive hope they score this exam it not graded like the following
A- 100 - 90
b- 90 - 80
C- 70 - 80
D- 60 - 70
Rather they look at everybody score even if everybody gets an F on the test it is still possible to pass the test so all in all you are competing against everybody else who takes the test..

Thanks I took the test today, The HR lady said it was graded on a curve. Now how I do, well I no I didnt do bad, but since from my belivef since it is graded on a curve I have to be better then most. Do u have any feedback ??? Please help I really hope I pass the test

well to be honest, it was pretty staright forward just be aware of your time kus even thought i was given extra time it was still hard. good luck i wore shorts and a tee shirt
Okay, any math... Did the
Okay, any math... Did the testing really take 2.5 hours to complete as they say? So, I'm assuming this is a timed test for each section? Thanks for taking the time out to share.....
my test first there were 40
my test first there were 40 questions, about circles and squares and an answer key no math. the next phase of the test had no math, however gave me a scheldule which i had to add time and some reading comprehension. the test was timed and i used all of my time. i am so stressed out awaiting my results. i no the test is graded on a scaled score i hope this helps you pass and goodluck to you. i think it will take at least two weeks for the results, this will be a long two weeks because i really need to pass. i will keep you posted
