Broken Escalators
Yesterday, I'm walking into Montgomery behind some BART workers, one of whom said the escalators were all broken because they can't take the exrement from homeless shitting on the escalators moving stairs. Wonderful. Feel sorry for the escalator guys who have to clean that crap up. Can't BART do something about this or does BART love paying for these recurring broken escalator issues. I thought the homeless were just pee'ing how gross to hear number 2 is the real problem with the BART escalators.
It must just be MISERABLE working for BART in some occupations.

All this talk about shit inside the escalators has me curious. How does the shit get inside? do the homeless take a quick dump on their way down, or is this when the escalators are stopped? i can understand a pile of crap on one of the steps, but it seems it would be too dense to pass in between the steps. Mind boggling. a bit rebarbative nonetheless.
The escalators are outside
The escalators are outside the station gates at many downtown SF stations.
The homeless go down the stairs at night, and then shit at the bottom of the escalators.
The shit, piss, and vomit seeps into the mechanics overnight.
