Congratulations to all the Station Agents, Train Operaters and System Service workers.

BART ridership is up an average of 25 - 26,000 a month on last year. They are now moving over 380,000 a day, most of the timne without serious incident

If your facts are correct,

If your facts are correct, then where is all the increased revenue being spent? It can't be on more frequent train service, or car maintenance, or station maintenance. Why not spend it on sound-proofing cars from the deafening track screeching throughout the system or the eardrum-bursting howl through the transbay tube?

That increase is IN SPITE of what BART is doing, not BECAUSE of what BART is doing.

Of course. I just wanted to congratulate the workers on the ground for coping with the extra increase in riders. From 310K 24 months ago to over 418K per day last week. They are the only ones tat did not get a pay rise in the past 8 years. Everyone else did.

Umm don't you mean," no raise

Umm don't you mean," no raise in 4 years ? " the previous contract was 0 2 2 3 , prior to that it was 6 6 5 6 , the no raises thing was the current 4 year contract .
