Some Bart garages are going to be used for airport parking http://www.examiner.com/a-878153~BART_airport_parking_takes_off.html As long as they don't mess around with the fifth floor parking at San Bruno then I have no problem. Bart, I know you read this website. So, does this mean you will not raise any more prices for parking in the Peninsula? No more a dollar a year or every two years? My parking in San Bruno is free and I'd like to keep it that way. Comments anyone? |

I'm not sure if they're gonna mess with the 5th floor at San Bruno... But yes BART management does read this site - I'm sure of it. Probably accounts for about 100,000 of the 200,000 daily hits.
As for raising parking prices, BART does it where they feel they can get away with it. I've talked to a few passengers who have started bussing it to BART as opposed to driving, for the simple fact that Bus-to-BART (on AC) is $1.50/day (w/ BTB-BTB transfer), while parking in most places is much more. Plus they save gas.
I'm all for collecting parking fees, but if it gets out of hand, you need not worry about it, provided you live within walking distance or a bus stop... hell, even ride a bike or carpool.
